Pink Tent, now on its 8th year, is a fundraising project of ICanServe Foundation, Inc. in collaboration with The Oakridge Pavilion and the Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente held every October. ICanServe is an advocacy group of breast cancer survivors empowering themselves with information about breast cancer and what they can do about it. The group advocates early detection of breast cancer.
This year, Pink Tent will be held on October 12, 2019, Saturday from 9am to 9pm at the Oakridge Pavilion of the Oakridge Business Park in Mandaue City.
There will be more than a hundred concessionaires selling food, clothes, shoes, bags, beauty products and novelty items. Pink Tent will make Christmas shopping hassle-free because it will be a one-stop-shop for all holiday needs!
There will be different programs for customers of all ages and sizes. To name a few, they will have live entertainment, Zumba and healthy breathing exercise classes!
Pink Tent is only a part of the group’s series of activities for Pink October, the breast cancer awareness month. High-impact information campaigns and community-based screening programs will empower women with breast cancer and give women cancer-related information, so that they can have a voice in their own health care. The event’s mission is to arm women with breast care health and breast cancer information, so that they can make informed decisions about their health. It will also provide access to special services that will help breast cancer survivors recover and heal more effectively. Proceeds of this activity will sponsor free mammograms to indigent women.
