Team Intellectual of Childlink Learning Center and Childlink High School Inc. (CLC-CHSI) organized a feeding program and a lesson about a healthy lifestyle through an event titled “Lunch and Learn” last January 25, 2020 at Barangay Sta. Cruz, Ramos.
Food is a basic need of human beings. Just as an automobile needs fuel, the human body needs food to keep going. But not everything we eat is nutritious. “Lunch and Learn” was not only about feeding, nutritional facts, and sanitation. It also emphasized how poor education on nutrition creates numerous public health concerns such as kidney disease, vitamin
deficiency or malnutrition.
The “Lunch and Learn” program aims to promote nutritional awareness and proper personal hygiene. There are also fun and games during the outreach program. The team discussed “Go, Grow, and Glow” food and “How to properly brush your teeth”.
With the participation of the CLC-CHSI Parent Teachers Association led by Mr. Nilo Miranda, the children of Barangay Sta. Cruz happily went home with a tummy full of healthy food.
