CCCI Trains Chapter Officers for Joint New Zealand Project for Solo Mothers

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) facilitated a Theory of Change (TOC) and Technology of Participation (TOP) trainings among the officers of its three chapters—Balamban, City of Naga, and Cordova, on Monday, March 2, 2020 at the CCCI Centre in Cebu City.

The training is part of the social preparation (input) for the ICT and LIFESKILLS Program of the solo mothers in the Islands of Cebu project in partnership with the New Zealand Embassy through the New Zealand Aid Programme.

As part of the WECAN program, Chamber chapters have to be equipped with skills to set the tone and facilitate levelling of expectations from its stakeholders, i.e. members, clients, and partners.

The TOC training is a specific type of methodology for planning, participation, and evaluation used in companies, entities and NGO sectors to promote social change. While the TOP is an integrated set of facilitation methods and tools.

After the trainers’ training, the chapter officers will assume a proactive role in preparing the implementation of area-based training/s for the solo mothers in coordination with the CCCI Aid Activity Team.

CCCI and its chapters will work closely with the Social Welfare and Development offices of the Local Government Units (including Cebu City, City of Naga and the municipalities of Cordova, Balamban and the island of Bantayan).
