BPO Partylist holds free callcenter training for AKHRO members

The Free CallCenter (FCC) Training of the Bangon Philippine Outsourcing (BPO) Partylist gets underway on Monday,  February 7, 2022, with 40 participants coming from the Alpha Kappa Rho International Fraternity and Sorority (ακρ or AKRHO) National Grand Council-Visayas (NGC-V) and Cebu Grand Council (CGC).

This is the 11th batch of the Free Callcenter Training conducted online by  Performance360 Global Services owned by Mike Cubos. This is in partnership with the NGC-V led by Rheymond Sanson and CGC spearheaded by chairman  Christopher Sandrae Cabigon

Merin Martinez of the  CGC said BPO Partylist President and first nominee Mike Cubos informed them during a meeting recently that the free training is part of their program.

“We felt this is an opportunity for our brothers and sisters who are still jobless especially those who were displaced due to the pandemic to possibly secure a job in the IT-BPM Industry,” the secretary of AKRHO CGC said.

Martinez added that Cebu City is the central hub for Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) Industry in Visayas and job opportunities are of paramount importance.

However, being able to land a job in the IT-BPM  is not a walk in the park especially for those who have zero background in working in a callcenter.

“Joining this training will give our brothers and sisters a foundation about what it’s like in the IT-BPM,” said Martinez.

The AKRHO Cordova Grand Council headed by chairman Lexfer “Lablers” Baguio also participated in one of the Free Callcenter training last year.

“We have members who are already working in the IT-BPM sector after joining the FCC training, we are thankful to Cubos for partnering with us with his ICT and livelihood projects,” said Baguio.

The BPO Partylist is a Cebu-based sectoral party that advocates the promotion, development, sustainability, support, and advancement of the Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM), Countryside Development, Startups, and Online Filipino Workers in the Philippines.

It will be a 100-hour training from Monday to Friday, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The training will be led by  Christine Alburo, one of Performance360 Global Services’ top agents before moving up in the management team. She joined the company way back in 2016 with zero background in the IT-BPM Industry.

“Upon learning through my sister working in the company that they will be having a Free Callcenter Training, I immediately joined. Fortunately, I was among my batch that passed the certification after the two-week training and got hired. The account that I was assigned was a good foundation because it was a sales campaign which later on, when I moved to another company, was very in demand and getting hired with sales background was easy,” said Alburo, who is an undergraduate.

Performance360 Global Services CEO Mike Cubos gave his opening remarks in one of the Free Callcenter Trainings they have conducted in 2016.

Unlike before that only college graduates will have the opportunities to move up in the corporate ladder, Alburo realized that in the IT-BPM industry, as long as the person is equipped with the right skills, the Industry does not discriminate not only with the age but as well as with the educational attainment.

Alburo added that when she returned working for Performance360 Global Services as a business development manager, she felt that it is time to pay it forward and help the company that gave her the foundation to become a competitive agent and an effective member of the management team. She is part of the company’s training team and now leads the BPO Partylist training team.

“I feel honored to be leading the BPO Partylist training team. I joined this team because I want to also give our trainees the opportunities I experienced,” said Alburo.

Alburo will be with Mavel Casano-Kubiček  and Kym Limgenco. The technical aspects of the training will be handled by Fritz Dionson.
