Alfred Reyes: Hotel Mogul and Basketball Champion

Alfred Reyes, the General Manager and Vice President for Operations at Bai Hotel Cebu, has once again demonstrated his prowess, not just in the boardroom but also on the basketball court. Reyes was recently celebrated for his outstanding achievement as the scoring champion in Division A of the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association’s 17th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup.

A proud member of the CEC Batch 1985, Reyes emerged as the top scorer in his division, averaging an impressive 21.0 points per game. His dedication to both his professional role at Bai Hotel and his passion for basketball highlights his multifaceted talents.

Beyond his responsibilities at Bai Hotel, Reyes serves as the president of the Hotel Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu, Inc. (HRRACI). Under his leadership, HRRACI is currently hosting its biennial sportsfest, a two-month extravaganza aimed at fostering camaraderie and strengthening relationships within Cebu’s vibrant hospitality industry.

The sportsfest chaired by Carlo Suarez features a range of activities including basketball, volleyball, bowling, badminton, table tennis, dodgeball, and track and field. Scheduled to conclude on July 21 at the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City, the event promises an exhilarating grand finale.

Highlights of the concluding ceremony include a spirited cheerdance competition, the crowning of Mr. and Ms. HRRACI Sportsfest, the coronation of the Queen of HRRACI Sportsfest 2024, and eagerly anticipated championship matches in basketball and volleyball.

Alfred Reyes continues to inspire both in business and in sports, exemplifying leadership and excellence in every endeavor he undertakes. His achievements serve as a testament to his dedication and skill, making him a respected figure in Cebu’s business and sporting communities alike.

Beginning her career as a Photojournalist at The Freeman Newspaper/Philippine Star from 2000 to 2007, she then served as an Accounts Manager from 2007 to 2008.
