CORDOVA SOLO MOTHERS ARE ALL SET

After several months of delay due to the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) and Lifeskills Training Project for Solo Mothers in the Municipality of Cordova will begin on Monday, December 13, 2021.

The one-month project was initiated by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce Inc (CCCI) with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) New Zealand Embassy, ​​and in collaboration with the Cordova local government unit, CCCI-Cordova Chapter, and the Department of Information, Communication and Technology Visayas Cluster 2 Office.

Due to the pandemic, the way the training was conducted shifted from face-to-face to a virtual one when quarantine conditions were appropriate to change the training. With this transfer, the service provided is able to convert their training modules into digital form.

However, some participants may encounter challenges during training due to poor connection. As a result, Cordova councilor Cesar Munez and BPO president Mike Cubos of Performance360 Global Services offered space at San Roque College De Cebu- Cordova Campus and at Performance360 Global Services.

“If any of you experience issues with your internet connection, just come here in San Roque or at the Performance360 Global Services office. We will be happy to help you achieve your goal by completing the one month training,” he said. as Munez said during the distribution. of gadgets on Friday, December 10, 2021, at San Roque College De Cebu-Cordova Campus.

As many as 30 solo mothers attended the gadgets distribution and orientation led by Cordova Solo Parent Federation president Elvira Degamo.

“It has long been named as a federation but this is the first time we have been given the opportunity to go through training through the efforts of the CCCI-Cordova chapter with the coordination of councilors Munez and sir Mike,” Degamo said.

The main objective of the project is to support at least 100 single mothers in five areas of the municipalities of Naga and Cebu, and the municipalities of Balamban, Bantayan, and Cordova, to increase their household income by in business, customer service, and effective. communication.
