Cebu’s all-time favorite Chinese restaurant, Ding How Dimsum House, is going digital with the launching of it’s digital ordering system.
The latest ordering technology was officially introduced to the Cebuano market on January 23, 2020, at Ding How Dimsum House’ latest outlet located in AyalaMall Central Bloc in Cebu IT Park.
The iconic restaurant is shaping how Cebuanos now enjoy Chinese food, by making orders just clicking the screen installed in every table.
The new system upgrades customer convenience in ordering allowing diners to order at their own pace.
Dishes are made-to-order to assure fresh, delicious, and high-quality dimsum.
“We are always looking for ways on how we can improve our customers dining experience,” said MIS and Marketing head Steven Kokseng of Harbour City Dimsum house.
The Ding How Dimsum House in AyalaMall Central Bloc is the 36th outlet opened by Harbour City Dimsum House Co., Inc. (HCDHCI), which also operates other restaurant brands like Ding Qua Qua, and Harbour City.
According to Steven, installation of similar technology in other branch, may depend on the market, and how the Cebuano market is accepting this kind of ordering process based on the Central Bloc outlet’s experience.
“Our goal is to really focused on evaluating how our customers are into it and what else we can improve with the system,” added Steven.
Raymond Kokseng, the company’s president shared that their commitment has always been two-fold: preserving the rich story of Ding How dishes, and improving the dining experience.
“Digital innovation was the natural step for us and we will strive for even better ways to bring Cebu’s iconic dimsum to our customers,” said Raymond.
Ding How first opened in 1969 along colon street where the original Cebu staple “Steamed Fried Rice” was created, and was first to introduce the dim sum in Cebu as we know it, serving all-day instead of only as traditional lunch fare. It reopened its doors in 2017 to those excited to relive the old dimsum house experience in a relaxed and casual setting as part of a growing portfolio of brands under Harbour City Group which include its other dining concepts Harbour City, Dimsum Break, and Ding Qua Qua.
This 2020, Ding How Dimsum House continues to define the Chinese dining experience for Cebuanos. The new branch at Ayala Central Bloc takes another pioneering step to improve the experience of a new generation of diners and the patrons who have into the local food culture and mixes it up with the innovation of the times.
