In line with the declaration by the UN of September 27 as World Tourism Day, the CCTC’s initial salvo is the celebration of Tourism Month this September is the re-launch of the City’s Heritage Walk billed as “Pasiyo sa Kabilin”.
The guests together with Dept. of Tourism Regional Director Shalimar Tamano, Cebu City Tourism Commissioners and Cebu City Vice Mayor Michael Rama experienced a walking tour of Cebu City’s Heritage Sites with tartanilla rides from Fort San Pedro going to Magellan’s Cross, Plaza Sugbo, Metropolitan Cebu Cathedral, Plaza Hamabar, Archdiocesan Museum of Cebu, Colon Obelisk, Heritage of Cebu Monument, Jesuit House of 1730, Yap-Sandiego Ancestral House and at the Casa Gorordo.
The activity culminated at Ayala Center Cebu for the relaunching of Lakbay Lingaw Tourism Festival.
