Seda Central Bloc Books Triple Championship Berth in HRRACI Sportfest Culminating Day

Seda Central Bloc is all set for a big day as they secured three championship slots in the Biennial Hotel Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu Inc (HRRACI) Sportfest Culminating Day happening on July 21, 2024, at the University of Southern Philippine Foundation Inc. (USPF).

The Seda Central Bloc basketball team punched their ticket to the finals after a convincing 94-66 win over Kandaya Resort in the semifinals. They will face the 2019 champion team, Shangri-La Mactan, who edged out JPark Island Resort and WaterPark in a close 71-69 match.

Seda Central Bloc’s dominance extends to the volleyball court as both their men’s and women’s teams secured their spot in the finals. The men’s team defeated JPark Island Resort and WaterPark in two tight sets, 27-25, 25-19. They will battle Dusit Thani who cruised to a straight-set victory, 25-22, 25-19, against Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

Meanwhile, the Seda Central Bloc women’s volleyball team secured a finals berth with a dominant win over Maribago Bluewater, 25-14, 25-13. They will face the Nustar Lady Spikers who emerged victorious in a three-set battle against Montebello Villa Hotel, 22-25, 25-10, 25-16.

The volleyball games will kick off at 8:30 am at the USPF volleyball court, with the men’s championship followed by the women’s championship. The basketball championship game will then take center stage at 10:00 am at the USPF Gym.
