Female runners from SN Law Firm, a women-run firm led by Atty. Barbie Samson-Sesante, suited up their fitness gear and was among the 9,500 sea of runners in the SM2SM Run on Sunday morning, March 5, at the SM Seaside grounds.
The SN Law Firm runners breached a milestone with their first 12-kilometer run.
“We only started training for longer distance like the 12-kilometer run just this year. Previously we ran only shorter distances like 3K to 5K,” said Atty. Samson-Sesante, the wife of the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters head coach Atty. Kenneth Kernn Atilano Sesante.
SN Law Firm runners had to train twice a week for their first long-distance event.
“We’re mostly glued in our seats when we work and joining running events was initially just a strategy to keep everyone on their feet to go out and bond. I was surprised we all finished! And one of the most significant advantages of any out-of-office group activity is that it boosts morale among your workforce. We plan to do it again!” said Samson-Sesante.
