For the first time in its 40 years in the real estate business, homegrown and trusted property developer Vibo Land Corporation is taking its first step in the residential space with West Jones Residences—its first-ever 15-storey vertical residential condominium project which is strategically situated on a 1,300-square-meter property in Uytengsu St., Barangay Sambag II, Cebu City—an accessible address going to the busy centers both uptown and downtown areas of Cebu and a prime location convenient for students, professionals and starting families.
Last October 18, an official media launching for the said latest project was held at the Vibo Land Corp. Showroom, Axis Entertainment Avenue, another property of the Vibo Group of Companies. The launching highlighted Viboland’s notable accomplishments in the last 40 years but the main star was West Jones Residences which Vibo Land is allocating a total sum of P1 billion to erect the high-rise tower with its 307 residential units composed of studio and 1 bedroom units.
According to Viboland President Gerardo V. Borromeo, their main goal in building West Jones Residences to where it is erected is to capture the student market in the city as the project is in close proximity to the university belt, in fact, universities such as Southwestern University PHINMA, University of San Carlos – South Campus and Cebu Normal University to name a few are just walking distance from the establishment.
“We have that strategic place for parents who want their children to be secured and safe. Instead of paying for a dormitory, they might as well invest in a condominium which is actually more practical since it would become their own property,” Borromeo said.
Allen Andre Suarez, Viboland’s leasing and marketing head, agreed and stated that the project’s location is one of its competitive edge from its competitors. “Location is one of our topmost priority. Cebu City is a bustling metro and with the chronic traffic plaguing the city, it is crucial for students and professionals to live in areas close to their schools and workplaces.” Suarez noted.
“The availability of residential developments in the middle of the city is very important for the residents, the students, and the workers that’s why here at Viboland, we always make sure that our projects are strategically located in the most convenient areas around the city,” he added.
West Jones Residences is targeted for completion in the first quarter of 2020 and so far, 70 percent of the project has already been acquired. The starting price of its remaining units starts at P3.5 million. Future homeowners would be enjoying the building’s top features and amenities including 24-hour security, rooftop swimming pool, an amenity lounge, function rooms, among others.
Vivoland Corporation will also soon build another promising project, a 20-story condominium called The Curve on Ramos St., Cebu City.
